Important Information from MKB Law
Published 18 March 2020
I would like to reassure all clients and colleagues that MKB Law will continue to operate and provide services during the current emergency created by the Coronavirus outbreak.
We are fortunate that all of our IT systems are in a hosted environment and will continue to operate throughout this period. By good fortune we made the decision to move to a paperless environment over 12 months ago which means that, while working from home, our solicitors, legal executives and staff will have access to necessary files and documents in the event of the office being physically closed. I think that these two things put us into a better position than most.
Of course, there will be interruptions despite the best systems. At present we do not know what may happen by way of court closures, or what capacity other parties we are dealing with will have to continue to provide their services. Families will be under pressure and some of our staff may be unavailable because of their family commitments.
In the event of the office closing we may have difficulties with telephone systems but we will try to ensure that clients are given numbers at which they can contact the person dealing with their case. Emails will continue uninterrupted. We will do our best to keep these disruptions to a minimum and to keep you informed about how we are dealing with the situation.
I hope that you bear with us during what will be trying period for everybody. Most importantly, I hope you keep well and follow the government’s guidance so that we can get past this period as quickly as possible.
