MKB Law Donates Fifty Electronic Tablets to Local Health Trust

MKB Law are pleased to have been able to donate fifty new Lenovo electronic tablets to the Antrim Children’s Services section of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.
Upon the commencement of lockdown in March, and the subsequent closure of schools, MKB Law became aware of the number of children who may not have the resources to facilitate remote learning, and children who may be left feeling isolated as a result of the Covid-19 restrictions.
Our team reached out to the Northern Health and Social Care Trust to see how we could help support local children and their families during these unprecedented times.
Having been made aware of the need for computing equipment, MKB Law were more than happy to source and obtain the relevant devices. The donation was then kindly coordinated by the staff at Creggan Primary School in Randalstown.
The devices will help facilitate remote learning, assist children in developing their future ICT skills and support social workers in engaging with children on a one-to-one basis.
Áine Toner, Family Law solicitor at MKB Law, recently met with representatives from Creggan Primary School and Antrim Children’s Services to handover the devices.
The Family Law solicitors at MKB Law are members of the Children Order Panel – a select group of Family Lawyers who are accredited to represent parents in private law and public law proceedings.
