Two top employees of Belfast-based MKB Law are shortlisted in the prestigious Women in Business NI Awards 2019.
Associate Director Suzanne Keenan is a finalist in the award for Best in Professional Services, while Marketing Executive Kym Horner is shortlisted in the category for Best Marketing Campaign.
Suzanne said: “I am excited to be shortlisted for this award as it recognises only the highest levels of service responsiveness and innovation with both internal and external customers.
“It is a great reflection on MKB Law as a company because we pride ourselves on being an innovative and progressive firm providing legal guidance to commercial and individual clients.”
Suzanne qualified from the University of Ulster with a degree in Law and Economics in 2007. After spending time in London in corporate banking, she returned to Northern Ireland where she qualified as a solicitor in 2011. She joined MKB Law in July 2015 as Employment Law Solicitor and head of department and became an Associate Director in November 2017.
The Women in Business Awards celebrate, acknowledge and reward the hard work and achievements of some of Northern Ireland’s most successful entrepreneurs, business owners, senior managers and leaders, so MKB Law is delighted to have two of its most respected team members reach the finals.
Kym said: “The judges for Best Marketing Campaign are looking for innovative work within the last year which has had positive results and outcomes for the company. I work on MKB Law’s brand identity, website, social media and marketing materials to increase engagement and maintain the very highest professional standards.”
Kym qualified from the University of Ulster in 2005 with a degree in Media Studies and worked as a Marketing Executive for a large manufacturing firm for eight years before moving to MKB Law in July 2015. Kym brought with her extensive knowledge in brand development and vast experience in graphic design, photography and creative-thinking, which has helped the company become one of Northern Ireland’s most respected law firms.
The awards, to be held in the Crowne Plaza, Belfast on Thursday 7th, November, are set to be the biggest to date with a record 185 entries submitted for judging. The keynote speaker for this year’s awards is the new Invest NI Chair Rose Mary Stalker. Good luck to Suzanne, Kym and all the finalists!
