Road Traffic Accident in the Netherlands

Personal Injury Claims
MKB Law recently acted on behalf of three passengers who sustained musculoligamentous type injuries in a road traffic accident that occurred in the Netherlands.
Our clients, who were en route to Schiphol airport, were injured when the car they were travelling in failed to stop in time, impacting the vehicle in front. Our clients instructed Mollie Thompson to investigate the accident and provide advice on bringing a personal injury claim in the Netherlands.
Following a successful admission of liability, and obtaining appropriate medical evidence, we acquired the relevant Dutch legal opinion regarding the compensation our clients would likely receive in accordance with the EU Damages Directive.
After a period of negotiations with the defendant’s insurers, we were able to settle each case despite arguments being advanced on causation elements of our clients claims. We successfully obtained a global sum settlement of 6,840.00 Euros plus full legal costs without the need to issue formal court proceedings, which was a positive result for our clients.
MKB Law advises on road traffic accidents that occur both in Northern Ireland and further afield. Despite the disruption caused by the current pandemic, we have successfully settled many road traffic claims within a relatively short period of time from initial instruction.
We are currently offering a complimentary half-hour consultation service for individuals injured in road traffic accidents. If you would like to find out more, please contact Mollie Thompson in MKB Law’s Litigation department.
