Background & Experience
I studied Law at the Queen’s University of Belfast and continued my professional studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Belfast. I practised as a Barrister at the Bar of Northern Ireland for over ten years. I was called to the Bar of Ireland and the Bar of England and Wales (Gray’s Inn).
I specialise in Private Client Law, particularly wills, estates, probates, trusts and inheritance tax. I am an Accredited Mediator and member of the worldwide organisation, TEP (STEP).
I have lectured and tutored widely in the Property Law field and in many institutions including University College Dublin, the University of Essex, Griffith College Dublin, the University of Ulster, Queen’s University Belfast, the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Belfast and the Department of Land Economy in the University of Cambridge. I co- authored the ‘Law of Property in Northern Ireland’ (2014).
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and three cats.
