MKB Law advises Elgin Energy on joint venture with Foresight

MKB Law’s Corporate division, led by Managing Director Gordon McElroy with support from Wattey Kemnaywere pleased to have advised Elgin Energy on their recent joint venture with Foresight; a private equity investment manager with a focus on clean energy generation and renewable energy grid infrastructure.

Elgin Energy, one of MKB Law long-standing clientsare a leading international and independent solar development group. The joint venture aims to develop a pipeline of greenfield solar projects in the UK with portfolios ranging across England, Wales and Scotland, with a total generating capacity of 200MW. 

Dual-qualified in England and Northern Ireland, Gordon McElroy leads the client team on all transactional aspects of the project and guides them through project finance requirements. Elgin Energy’s advisory team also includes Carntyne (Financial), Anderson Strathern and Taylor Vinters. Foresight was advised by Osborne Clarke with the support of Harper Macleod.
