MKB Law, one of Northern Ireland’s leading commercial law firms, has announced award wins and accolades for their specialist Insolvency and Debt Recovery team at both the UK Insolvency Practitioner Association Awards and British Credit Awards.

Led by Director David McAlinden alongside solicitor Ruairi Maguire, with support from Niamh Murphy, Laura McGuckin and Chelsea Burrows, the team provides expert debt and insolvency services for both individuals and businesses in the public and private sectors.

The team were named as winners of the ‘Innovation in Practise’ award at the 2023 Insolvency Practitioner Association (IPA) Awards in recognition of their ongoing successes in developing bespoke automated legal-software.

Most recently, the team were announced as ‘Highly Commended’ in the award for ‘Legal Provider of the Year’ at the British Credit Awards in acknowledgment of their investment in technology, client care and high-volume debt recovery processes.

Solicitor Ruairi Maguire, who qualified as a solicitor in September 2021, was selected as finalist for ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at both the British Credit Awards and IPA Awards. These nominations, alongside other finalists already highly experienced in the credit or insolvency industry, showcases Ruairi’s growing reputation in this field.
