MKB Law, one of Northern Ireland’s leading commercial law firms, was recognised for its contribution to the delivery of real estate legal services in being shortlisted as a finalist for ‘Property Legal Team of the Year’ at the Belfast Telegraph Property Awards 2022.

As a principal provider of legal real estate services for commercial and residential transactions, the Property team at MKB Law is led by Directors Gordon McElroy and Maria Conway, alongside Associate Directors Lynsey Henderson and Emma Smyth.

With additional growth within the last number of months to include four solicitors, two trainees and four legal executives, the team has developed a market-leading and reputable real estate service.

The commercial arm of the team acts in all manner of commercial property transactions and advises on complex leasing and large-scale site acquisitions and disposals, with the residential side having established a reputation that is second to none in the delivery of conveyancing services. The team also acts in the sale of new build housing units in a number of Northern Ireland’s largest housing developments.

The awards, which took place at the Crowne Plaza on Friday 18 November with over 600 guests in attendance from across the property sector, comes at a time of poignant change for the property landscape with the rising costs of housing and financial consequences of the pandemic presenting challenges for all involved in the local sector.

MKB Law’s nomination for Property Legal Team of the Year is the latest accolade for the firm who were recently named as Professional Services Firm of the Year at the AIB Business Eye Awards.
