The National Deaf Children’s Society is a UK wide charity providing support and assistance to deaf children and their families, helping them to navigate the social and educational barriers that they may face. The charity also aims to raise awareness of deafness and campaigns for deaf children’s rights, to ensure they have the same opportunities as everyone else.

Within Northern Ireland, the charity supports over 2000 deaf children, young people and their families every year and reach hundreds more through their work with local community groups.

The charity was chosen by the staff at MKB Law based on the first-hand experience of their work through staff members within the firm. Our first fundraising event – an office Christmas Jumper Day and Raffle – raised £505.

Our next fundraising events will be the Belfast City Marathon, where two teams consisting of five staff members each will take part in the Team Relay, and the 50K in May Challenge. To support our teams and the charity, please visit here.

MKB Law’s previous charity partner (covering 2020-2022) was Depaul, a cross-border organisation supporting individuals, couples and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We were pleased to donate £9,060 to Depaul at the end of this period which went toward various service provisions including local food banks.
