MKB Law are delighted to have donated 100 trees to Inver College in Carrickmacross, Monaghan as part of a new tree planting initiative run by Restorify; a social enterprise platform that connects tree donors with available land across Ireland.
The trees donated by MKB Law were planted by students from Inver College on Thursday 10 March 2022 with support from staff at Síolta Chroí, an environmental education centre in Monaghan. The trees, including the ‘Pedunculate Oak’ (which supports more life than any other native tree species in the UK and Ireland), were planted in the area surrounding the college’s playing fields.
MKB Law continue to commit to a more sustainable business operation and ethos, and were one of the first law firms in Northern Ireland to have made the move to a paperless office in 2019,
Lynsey Henderson, Associate Director at MKB Law, comments: “Our staff were keen to find an innovative new project that reflected our own values. After meeting with James McConville, co-founder of Restorify, we knew we had found the perfect partner! Restorify worked closely with us to find a site where we could sponsor the entire planting mission.
Thank you to the students who took the time to plant the trees and to Gareth Conlon from Síolta Chroí for facilitating the planting – we look forward to seeing their progress!”
